As a professional makeup artist, I get what I call ‘face-time’ with interesting and inspired talent on a daily basis. One such fascinating person is Cindy Dale, Intuitive Healer and Author (https://cyndidale.com/). As I made her up for her on-camera interview, she looked up at me and declared, “I’ve got it! You are The Beauty Shaman! You are going to be huge; you will travel all over the world helping women embrace their own beauty and become empowered!” Mind you, this was when I was an exhausted single mother with two young daughters trying to make ends meet and manage life. The tag line, The Beauty Shaman, wasn’t anywhere near my overwhelmed brain. What she shared, though, ignited a spark in me.
From that day forward, I started to envision my life as The Beauty Shaman. Many hours were spent piecing out what this meant, from having an online store, to starting a YouTube channel and coaching women with a holistic and positive view of aging and beauty. Fast forward seven years, and I now have all of those things and more! There is unbelievable power in one crazy inspired comment from a loving guide. Find those guides and hold them close; they are the lifeblood of your inspiration and personal power!

We had the good fortune of connecting with Suzanne Blons and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Suzanne, what role has risk played in your life or career?
“Come to the edge,” he said. “We can’t, we’re afraid!” they responded. “Come to the edge,” he said. “We can’t, We will fall!” they responded. “Come to the edge,” he said. And so they came. And he pushed them. And they flew.” ― Guillaume Apollinaire. The times when I am the happiest, the most alive, the most present, is when I’m standing on the edge. I’ve lost as much as I’ve won in the game of risk taking, but always it is worth it. If I lose, then I learn from what has transpired. If I win, then I grow my risk taking muscle for the next hurdle. Having your own business and being in the media is, in my opinion, one big fat juicy risk. Will I be ridiculed? If I am true to myself, will my tribe follow me? Will I go broke putting money and effort into a pipe-dream, when playing it safe is, well, safer? In the end, I go back to a vision I have of my future life. I’m living in Europe walking briskly down a freshly rained cobblestone street, and am carrying a black back-back for my computer and notes. As I walk, I turn and wave to some people sipping espresso at the local patisserie and declare, “Bonjour”, in a resounding, happy tone. Is the risk worth the vision? Forever and always, the answer is YES. (Click for full article)

Closer Magazine, an international celebrity news magazine, approached me recently about makeup used on Marilou Henner, actress from the popular TV show Taxi.
