Having professional laser treatments can cost between $750-$2000, takes 4-6 visits, and has significant down time for healing. The benefit of using the Nira at home laser device, is that you get the same results with little to no downtime and the only cost is the one time charge for the device. I use it daily on my age spots and have seen improvement after about 90 days. You do need to be disciplined and consistent, but the payoff is noticeable and worth the effort. MERIT BEAUTY
I am a huge fan of Merit Beauty. Their products are clean, easy to use, and superb quality. They cater to all ages, but make a special effort to show mature women in minimalist looks. There’s very little here not to like! My favorite products are the lipsticks, Instant Glow Serum, bronzer, and the Brush #1.
I’ve used Merit on all types of mature skin with great success. My only caveat is that on their website they state that the foundation is light to medium coverage, but I think it’s more medium to full coverage. If you have dry skin or prefer a lighter texture, this might not be the product for you. Truth Treatment Systems
Treat your skin at the cellular level with Truth Treatment Systems. Created by Pharmacist, Skin Care Chemist, and Nutritionist Ben Fuchs, each product is formulated using active ingredients that nourish and heal the skin. In all honesty, this is my favorite skin care line and, yes, it’s pricey. The cost stems from top notch ingredients, so you will get your money’s worth.
My favorite product is without a doubt the Transdermal C Serum made with 70% oil soluble vitamin C (THDA). I only use two drops once a day, so a $219, 30ml bottle lasts almost 3 months which comes out to about $73 a month. . . and it’s superb. Other favorites include 5% Retinol (the highest level of retinol found over the counter), Omega 6 Healing Cream (with Omega 6 fatty acids for very dry, damaged skin), and the Hyaluronic Mineral Hydrator for high levels of plumping hyaluronic acid. PrimePrometics
PrimePrometics is Pro-Age Makeup and Skin Care for Evergreen Beauty. I’ve used their products in many videos and on my own face and can report that they are fabulous on mature skin. Plus, they are one of the few brands that promote the pro-aging message and use age appropriate models which makes me do back-flips.
As far as favorites go, I love their CC Cream foundation. It looks great on mature skin, blends easily, and holds up well. Their eyelash primer and mascara deliver every time, and the eyeliners and cream eye shadows (eye brigheners) are wonderful.
