Great things in your email to think about for getting and/or staying healthy! One thing (of several) I notice as I age is reduced muscle mass! I’ve started doing exercises for specific areas of my body! I do squats for one particular area that’s lost its shape! I’ve also started lifting weights. I started with 5 lbs in each hand and lift 10 repetitions with my right arm then switch to my left. I do each arm 5 times switching back and forth. The jiggly skin under my upper arms is beginning to tighten. I also walk my dog 30-40 minutes everyday. About 20+ years ago I was knocked off my feet and received a diagnosis of Fibromyalgia. It was triggered by an auto accident. So I spent almost all of the last 20 years struggling and bedridden at times. I made some significant changes to my diet, medications and exercise habits a couple years ago and I’ve seen improvement in mobility, pain level and fatigue. I still have flares of symptoms but I’m able to get out and enjoy life again. As a matter of fact, I have a cruise to Alaska planned in September!
That’s so wonderful that you have a trip to Alaska! It’s so beautiful and I’ve heard amazing things about the cruise ship trips. Plus, it sounds like you have really worked on your health and are doing proactive things to be healthy. What an inspiration! Thanks for sharing, Annette!
