Disclosure: Lintico gifted me the pieces in this post. The opinions are mine, and I only share what I would tell a friend.
I adore linen. It is one of the kindest fabrics a woman over 50 can wear. It breathes, it skims rather than clings, and it looks polished without trying too hard. So when Lintico sent me three looks to try, I was curious. Could an affordable linen brand deliver style, comfort, and a good fit on a 60-year-old, 5’10”, size 8-10 body? Here is what I found, the good and the not-so-perfect.
The linen: what the brand says, and what I felt
Lintico says its linen is made from European flax and is pre-washed and pre-shrunk. The brand also lists Masters of Linen and OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certifications. The fabric is breathable and moisture-wicking, which matters to me as I tend to run warm or as I like to say, “I’m a hot woman.”
My honest take, after decades of handling clothes on set: this is good everyday linen, not luxury linen. It doesn’t have the weight and buttery hand of the designer linens that cost three times as much. That is also why the pieces I tried run about $75 to $105. If you only wear the finest linen, this isn’t your brand. If you want classic linen style at a price most women can reach, keep reading.
My Favorite: the Black Pleated Pants

The VERIDIANA pants in Charcoal Black ($104.90) is the piece I will wear most. They are 100% linen with a high waist, clean front pleats, and a hidden elastic back. That means a tailored look from the front and comfort where you need it. They come in a total of 6 colors, and honestly I might buy the camel and khaki shades and just live in them.
They go with just about anything in my closet; from a crisp shirt to a silk camisole. And at 5’10”, I rarely find pants that are long enough, but these fit perfectly and I love them! If you are petite, plan on a hem; other reviewers on the site say the same.
The Green Set: Lovely, With One Tweak
The NYLA set in Forest Olive ($74.90) and its matching pants make a beautiful, pulled-together outfit. The top has three-quarter sleeves, an asymmetric hem, and amber buttons at the side. It is 100% lightweight linen, and the color is a rich, beautiful green.
The cut is relaxed and straight, which reads a bit boxy on me. I took the top in slightly, and now I love it. This comes down to your shape and taste. If you like an easy, loose fit, you will be happy as is. One tip: Lintico’s 30-day returns require unaltered pieces, so try everything on before you reach for the sewing kit.

The Plaid Top and the Magic of a Front Tuck
The Sierra Top in Ocean Sunset Plaid ($79.90) has a V-neck with a folded collar, button details on the sleeves, and an asymmetric hem with a side slit. A note for label readers: the plaid is a 55% linen, 45% cotton blend, while the solid colors are 100% linen.
What I love is the hem. I can tuck the front and leave the back out. My shape is fuller than it was in my modeling days, and that half tuck brings back a waistline without anything feeling tight. It is a small styling trick that makes a big difference. In the image I tossed on my favorite hat and I’m ready to go.

Easy Care, Easy Choices
Linen has a fussy reputation, but these pieces are simple to live with. Lintico’s care guide says to machine wash cold on gentle, then tumble dry low or air dry. Wash darks with like colors the first few times, since some color may bleed. Ironing is optional. Linen wrinkles, and I say let it. A few creases look relaxed and confident and I’m still burned out from years of ironing so take it or leave it.
The range is wide, too: tops, pants, dresses, jackets, and matching sets in sizes S to XXL. Most cuts are relaxed, and many pants have elastic at the back. Shipping is free for over $130.
Is Lintico Right for You?
Yes, if you want classic, flattering linen at a fair price, in shapes made for real bodies. No, if you are a fabric purist who wants top-tier linen. For me, the black pants alone earn a place in my closet and my everyday wear. Style after 50 should feel this easy!
