Micro current devices have become all the rage for our generation, and for good reason. Using electrical current to tighten the skin is a proven and effective method used almost exclusively by aestheticians in days past. In today’s marketplace, however, there is stiff competition to present a home-use, hand-held device that is both effective and affordable, the most popular being NuFace.
Because I had an audition with a makeup company to market their products, I commissioned my aesthetician to use her high-powered professional current device on my skin for a series of 5 treatments at $150 per visit. It worked. My skin looked plumper, brighter, and my fine lines softened. Besides being a major home run in the skin care department, it also hit my wallet. Money talks, and I subsequently went on a research binge to find a device that worked as well (or nearly as well) as the one in my aesthetician’s office. Then, low and behold, Ben Fuchs at Truth Treatments came out with a device called NRGY. Game on.
How Do Micro Current Devices Work?
Micro current devices work in conjunction with a gel conductor to deliver electrical current under the basil layer of the skin in order to assist with collagen and elastin production, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and create cellular regeneration. The micro current output pulses controlled low level voltage to boost ATP (adenosine triphosphate) production. ATP is a major energy molecule for all intracellular processes. With consistent use, you will see noticeable changes in your skin.
What’s the Difference Between NuFace and NRGY?
Both devices effectively create long term changes in your skin. The difference is in the amount of micro current, choice in levels, and cost. NuFace uses 8.28 hertz in the device with three levels in the mini version, and five levels in the Trinity. Truth Treatments NRGY uses two modes, with four levels in each mode. Mode one uses 9.6 Hz, and mode two uses 4.5 Hz. Therefore, the NRGY provides the same number of hertz in mode one, but in mode two, it’s offering a leap forward in intensity, plus four extra levels that NuFace does not. Lastly, there is cost. NuFace mini runs for around $209, and the Trinity for around $525, while the NRGY retails for $199. Bang for buck, as well as options for intensity, NRGY scores
How Do You Use it?
I recommend starting with five minutes a day on mode one, level 1, and slowly work your way up the levels until your reach mode two, level one. I’m at mode two, level 2, and it’s very powerful! I’ve really noticed a change now that I’m in mode two, but I had to work with the device for a bit to get there. With the device, you will receive Electro Derm as the current conductor, as well as a step-by-step instructional manual on how to best use the product. It’s easy! For me, it took about two weeks to see a noticeable improvement, and now I use it 3-5 days a week with extra emphasis on days when I film for my YouTube channel. I especially noticed how it has helped my puffy eyes, jawline, and creases near my mouth.
A Word On Aging
Aging, for me, is a wonderful time in life where I’ve raised my kids, am deep into my career, and have the confidence and life experience to face the future. It is my view that loving our bodies as we age is crucial not only from an emotional standpoint, but from a creator stand point. I believe you attract into your life what you believe and tell yourself. If you tell your body negative things, then that is what you create in your body. Every day, I work at loving my face as it ages. I look into a mirror and tell my wrinkles I love them, and I’m also gentle with myself when I don’t. The world is so focused on youth and the young, with terms like “anti-aging” thrown about as if aging is in itself bad! This is baloney. Our lop-sided society needs women like you who are wise, loving, giving, and savvy. If you know and believe that, so will those around you.
In closing, I love aging, and I also want to be my highest and best self, which is why I use products like NRGY. Why not? It is non-toxic, safe, and helps me feel better along with my devotion to positive affirmations about and for my body. Make it your goal every day to hit it out of the ballpark with your passion, commitment, and sense of fun in everything you do, as well as presenting your best self. I love you.
