I love trying new makeup! Having said that, there are so many cosmetic lines available that it’s hard to decide which one to buy or give as a gift. The RealHer stands out in my mind due to their focus on empowering women by placing affirmations on their products like I AM AWESOME and I AM POWERFUL, and by giving 20% to the AAUW, the American Association of University Women. Having said that, my real question regarding the product was, is it good quality? Because the price point is so reasonable, I was thrilled to discover that the quality equaled the branding in excellence. For a 10% discount, use the code IAMPOWERFUL.
The eyeshadow palette The RealHer Playbook $28, contains workable and easily wearable shades called empowering names like Courageous, Unique, and Smart. In the video, I demonstrate the smokey eye using Fabulous, Unique, Strong, and Creative. Most women over forty struggle with the smokey eye, as it can look too severe or heavy if done incorrectly. By using some simple blending techniques and proper placement, anyone can apply a smokey eye and look beautiful. In particular, I like the charcoal black shade Smart, as it doesn’t fall on your cheek as you apply it, and it’s a soft rather than a hard grey/black, which is much better for older women.
Does your lipstick end up eaten rather than on your lips? If so, then try this beautiful matte lipstick called I AM PERFECT $18. It goes on creamy, dries, and stays on through eating, chatting, and the like. It comes in twelve colors, and looks amazing as a gift for a friend. Personally, I love matte lipsticks and feel the RealHer’s matte lipstick is comparable to a more expensive brand, and it tells you how perfect you are everytime you put it on.
I AM AWESOME $21 is the name of this lip plumping lipgloss in pale rose. The lipgloss comes in three colors, goes on smooth and doesn’t slide down your face like so many other lipglosses. I wore the combination of I AM PERFECT matte lipstick and I AM AWESOME lipgloss on top in the video, and it was soft, pretty, and long wearing.
The eyelash adhesive, FAUX SHOW $9, is a latex and formaldehyde free, fast drying, waterproof false lash adhesive with a brush applicator that I liked. In the video, I demonstrate how to apply individual lashes using the unique applicator. Most women that I work with, do not use individual lashes, and instead go for the strip lashes for party’s or special events. I find that using individual lashes is easy and looks less dramatic than the strip lash option, and encourage all of you to give it a try! The glue kept my lashes on all day, and it was easy to remove at night.
I really like the RealHer products I used in this video, and also the stand-out-from-the-pack packaging, branding, and affirmations on each item. Please let me know if you have any questions or responses to the tutorial and product usage.
